FasTrak for Every Driver
- FasTrak Flex Toll Tag
Most vehicles need a FasTrak Flex toll tag, which allows carpools and motorcycles to receive free or discounted tolls in express lanes. Just set the toll tag to indicate the number of people in your vehicle before you start your trip.
- Solo drivers must set the toll tag in the ‘1’ position, and pay full-price tolls.
- Carpools must have the FasTrak Flex toll tag set in the '2' or '3+' position based on the number of people in the car to get their toll discounts on express lanes.
- Vanpools and motorcycles must have the FasTrak Flex toll tag set in the '3+' position to get their toll discounts on express lanes.

*Note: At toll bridges, carpools must use the designated carpool lane with a valid FasTrak toll tag – either a standard or FasTrak Flex toll tag.

- FasTrak CAV Toll Tag
Eligible CAVs must have a valid FasTrak CAV toll tag to get toll discounts on express lanes. Just set the toll tag to indicate the number of people in your vehicle before you start your trip.
- Solo drivers must set the FasTrak CAV toll tag to ‘1’ to pay half-price tolls on express lanes.
- Carpools must have the FasTrak CAV toll tag set in the '2' or '3+' position based on the number of people in the car to get their proper toll discounts on express lanes.
- Drivers are required to apply for a CAV toll tag and show proof of eligibility.

- Standard FasTrak Toll Tag
FasTrak no longer issues standard tags. Existing tags will be phased out by January 1, 2027. Until phase-out, solo drivers can use standard tags in all express lanes to pay full tolls.
Standard tags cannot be used by carpools, vanpools, or motorcycles to receive express lane toll discounts.
