Bay Area Commuter Carpool Network
The Bay Area Commuter Carpool Network is a partnership between MTC and several Bay Area counties that connects commuters, making it easier for them to find carpool matches and earn rewards. Bay Area Vanpool Program
A vanpool is a group 7 to 15 people commuting together in a large vehicle, driven by one of the participants. The Bay Area Vanpool Program makes this option even more attractive by offering:
- $500 monthly discount on Commute with Enterprise vanpool rentals
- Assistance in finding or starting a vanpool
- "Empty seat" subsidies for owner-operated vanpools
- Free bridge tolls for larger vanpools (11-15 passengers)
- Help in signing up for discounted parking in San Francisco and Oakland
