Renew a Card

Download a Renewal Application (PDF). You may also request the transit agency mail the renewal form to you.  

  • There is no fee to renew your Clipper Access card.
  • It is recommended to submit a renewal application within 60 days of the expiration date on your current card.  
  • Submit your completed application at a local processing location or mail it to:

Please note: If you previously showed proof of eligibility for a Clipper Access card through another transit agency card from outside of the Bay Area or a non-permanent medical eligibility, you will need to reapply using either the Basic or Medical eligibility application.

Renew using CA DMV Disabled Placards

If you are renewing your card using a California DMV Disabled Parking Placard, your renewal application must include your new CA DMV Registration receipt for the disabled placard.

  • If applying in person, bring the DMV-issued placard registration receipt with you.
  • If applying by mail, include a copy of the DMV placard receipt with your application. 

Replacing Lost or Stolen Cards

Download a Replacement Card Application. Replacement cards are for Lost, Stolen and Damaged cards.

  • There is a $3 fee for replacement cards.  
    • If submitting by mail, please make your check or money order payable to ‘Clipper Access’.
    • If submitting in person, you can pay the $3 fee in cash.
  • Submit your completed application at a local processing location or mail it to:

  • Please confirm your current address on the application. You may also choose to have your card sent to a transit agency for you to pick up in person.
