Bicycles are welcome on nearly all Bay Area buses, ferries and most rail lines. Exceptions include San Francisco Muni Metro, historic streetcars and cable cars.
Most Bay Area transit buses are also equipped with bicycle racks, although there are exceptions, such as select San Francisco Muni bus routes, AC Transit's small vans, and certain routes operated by other transit agencies.
